Club of the Year
The branch's Club of the Year (COTY) award was introduced in 2015.
It is an award made to recognise the club in the CAMRA Central Lancashire branch area that is considered to have done the most for real ale during the previous calendar year. The winner will be the CAMRA Central Lancashire branch nomination for the Lancashire Club of the Year award. See Lancashire Area Awards.
Although the first CAMRA Central Lancashire COTY was chosen for 2015, in previous years there had been several instances of clubs winning the then branch's premier award - the George Lee Memorial Trophy. See George Lee Memorial Trophy.
The COTY is chosen by those present at CAMRA Central Lancashire committee meetings. Previously nominations can be submitted by local CAMRA members, with a shortlist of candidates being drawn up for consideration.
There was no award made in 2019, and again no award made in 2021 due to the lengthy Covid lockdown of clubs in the previous year.
