Just published is Ale Cry 144, the Spring 2026 edition of the CAMRA Central Lancashire branch quarterly magazine (on-line version available here).

Once again a 32 page edition, our Pub of the Year for 2026, the Malt 'n' Hops in Chorley is featured on the front cover while there is also an article about the award inside. Croston Sports Club is revealed as the branch's Pub of the Season (Club of the Season this time!) for Spring 2026. Also in this issue 'Riley's Rambles' visits Liverpool, 'A Circular Walk' looks at the Burscough area, while the 'CAMRA Heritage Pubs' article features three noteworthy Manchester pubs. With the usual news articles covering the Chorley, Preston, and South Ribble areas, this Ale Cry should once again be a good read for all real ale readers.

Copies of Ale Cry 144 will be available in pubs and clubs throughout the branch area in the coming weeks.
