On February 20th CAMRA Central Lancashire held a branch social at the Eldon, Preston. The occasion was that the Eldon had been chosen as the branch's Pub of the Season for Winter 2024/25. Attended by a keen turnout of CAMRA members and locals, this was welcome recognition for a good real ale pub away from the city centre. On the night a presentation took place, and pictured left are CAMRA Central Lancashire branch chairman Adrian Smith and Eldon landlord Dave Murray as the Pub of the Season certificate is handed over.
