Black Horse Back In The Race
Yesterday we reported the disappointing news that the Black Horse, Preston had just failed in its attempt to be named CAMRA's national Pub of the Year for 2024.
Well we are now looking at 2025 and it can now be revealed that the Black Horse has been judged the CAMRA Central Lancashire Pub of the Year for 2025. The Runner-Up was the Malt 'n' Hops in Chorley, and the other Finalists were the Bay Horse at Heath Charnock and the Moorbrook in Preston.
This is the third year running that the Black Horse has been selected for the branch's Pub of the Year award, and once again it becomes our nomination for CAMRA's prestigious regional and national Pub of the Year awards. Will it be third time lucky? Will it once again be up against the Bailey Head in Oswestry?
A branch social is to be held at the Black Horse on Thursday January 23rd, when there will be a presentation of the Pub of the Year 2025 certificate.
