The Most Improved Pub of the Year was an award introduced in 2018.

The winner is chosen by those present at a CAMRA Central Lancashire branch meeting, although nominations can be accepted each year from any local CAMRA member, with a shortlist of pubs being drawn up for consideration. There were no awards in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid lockdowns, and in future years an award will only be made if it is agreed that there is a suitable winner.
