For many years this was Addison's Wine Lodge. It later became the Grey Horse, and was then Yates's Wine Lodge. More name changes came with a shortening of the name to Yates's, and then a further shortening to Yates.

In December 2021 it was re-branded as a branch of Slug & Lettuce.
