This was to have been a Branch Meeting and Social, with the CAMRA Central Lancashire Summer 2016 Pub of the Season Presentation planned to take place at 9pm.

However due to transport problems (the Preston to Chorley train being diverted via Wigan to Bolton), the Chairman, Secretary, and Pub of the Season certificate failed to reach their destination. In their absence, those members who did make it to Chorley held a branch social.
