The long-awaited South Ribble Beer & Buses day took place on Saturday October 18th, and hopefully this will be the first of many such events to feature vintage buses and the pubs of South Ribble.

Organised by the Merseyside Transport Trust, and running from 12noon to 6pm, passengers (and beer drinkers) were able to hop on and off a fleet of vintage buses that were providing a regular service travelling on four separate routes that were centred on Lostock Hall. All told 22 pubs were featured, although passengers were not limited to just visiting these particular venues, with stop-offs no doubt benefitting many other local shops and businesses.

These Beer & Buses events have been running successfully for several years in the Burscough area, with the next of these Lancashire Beer & Buses days planned for Saturday April 25th 2026.
