This pub opened in April 2001 as Mood, and closed in July 2008. Always primarily a late-night venue, it was later run as a nightclub.

Part of a chain of Mood establishments, there were others in Carlisle, Doncaster, Edinburgh and elsewhere.

As a nightclub it was subsequently re-named Macs and was later Placebo.

In September 2018 it was re-launched as Ballers, a sports bar with more than 30 screens.

In December 2021 it became the Krush Sports Bar & Nightclub.
