Just published is Ale Cry 141, the Summer 2025 edition of the CAMRA Central Lancashire branch quarterly magazine (on-line version available here). With a suitably Summer-y photograph of the Continental in Preston on the cover, this is once again a 32 page issue packed full of news and articles. Featured in this Ale Cry are a number of recent branch awards - the Sir Tom Finney in Penwortham is revealed as the Summer 2025 Pub of the Season; Ronnie's Bar in Chorley is recognised as the branch's Best New Cask Outlet; Fulwood & Broughton Cricket Club is the winner of the Club of the Year award for 2025; while the Black Horse in Preston is once again recognised with an award in being named the branch's Cider Pub of the Year for 2025. Other articles in this Ale Cry include - a Riley's Rambles visit to Accrington plus a look at three CAMRA Heritage Pubs in Somerset. Copies of Ale Cry 141 will be available in pubs and clubs throughout the branch area in the coming weeks.
