Available from early September is Ale Cry 138, the Autumn 2024 edition of the CAMRA Central Lancashire branch quarterly magazine (on-line version available here). The magazine includes the usual good mix of pub and beer related articles, with the Trades Hall Club in Bamber Bridge being featured as the branch's Pub of the Season for Autumn 2024 (YES - the first club to have been a Pub of the Season winner!). Two other award winners announced in the magazine are Best New Cask Outlet 2024, which goes to Baaa 38 in Chorley, and Community Pub of the Year 2024 which goes to the Lostock Ale in Lostock Hall. Also in this issue Riley's Rambles visits Bradford, CAMRA Heritage Pubs features Hull, while Walking With a Purpose describes a 5 mile Coppull Circular walk. Copies of Ale Cry 138 will be available in pubs and clubs throughout the branch area in the coming weeks.
