This pub (the Number 49 bar) closed in 2006.

The Number 49 bar was part of the Fives Bars & Restaurant premises.

Fives re-opened in April 2017 after being closed for over 10 years. The basement bar did not re-open at this time, but the expectation was that it would be selling real ale when it does eventually re-open.

This pub was closed again in January 2019.
