This pub closed in 2000 and was converted into student accommodation.

For most of its existence the pub was known as the Princess Alexandra, but at the same time it was also commonly known as 'Th'Ole In Th'Wall'. In 1995 it became the Tap & Spile for a few years. It was then briefly re-named as Rooneys, and finally finished its days back as the 'Ole In Th'Wall.
