Available from the beginning of June is Ale Cry 133, the Summer 2023 edition of the CAMRA Central Lancashire branch quarterly magazine (on-line version available here Ale Cry). This issue proudly proclaims that the branch is about to celebrate its 50th birthday, and inside there is a chronology of significant events that have occurred during the 50 years of the branch's existence. The Bay Horse at Heath Charnock is revealed as the branch's Pub of the Season for Summer 2023, while St Helens is featured as the destination for the latest Riley's Rambles outing. As usual the magazine includes the regular Chorley Chatter, Preston Parade, and South Ribble Scene news articles, plus there is a Cycle Ale Trail of 16 miles covering a West of Preston / Fylde loop. Copies of Ale Cry 133 will be available from pubs and clubs throughout the branch area in the coming weeks.
