Available from the beginning of December is Ale Cry 131, the Winter 2022 edition of the CAMRA Central Lancashire branch quarterly magazine (on-line version available here Ale Cry). With a suitably festive cover, the Taps & Wine Bar is featured as the branch's Winter 2022/23 Pub of the Season, while elsewhere there is information about the branch's new entries in the recently produced Good Beer Guide 2023. The Historic Preston Pubs series of articles reaches its conclusion with Part 13 detailing the stragglers that have not yet been covered, while the reflective CAMRA Central Lancs And article this time looks at Boddingtons'. Other articles include a Riley's Rambles trip to Halifax, and a Walking With A Purpose visit to the Chipping area. As usual the magazine includes the regular Chorley Chatter, Preston Parade, and South Ribble Scene news articles, plus there is plenty more to read. Copies of Ale Cry 131 will be available from pubs and clubs throughout the branch area in the coming weeks.
