Guild Ale House

The Guild Ale House, Preston was the holder of the CAMRA Central Lancashire branch's Pub of the Year award for 2020 (and 2021).

The selection of this award was decided by a vote open to all CAMRA Central Lancashire branch members over the period January 1st 2020 to February 29th 2020.

With pubs being closed for most of 2020 due to Covid restrictions, there was no new POTY award for 2021, with the Guild Ale House allowed to continue as Pub of the Year for a further 12 months.

Following the enforced March 2020 lockdown the Guild Ale House remained closed for the remainder of the year. A presentation was not possible, but a handover of the POTY shield was able to take place in August 2020 at the Orchard, the Guild Ale House's sister pub. Pictured below CAMRA Central Lancashire committee member Paul Riley hands the shield to Gary Quinn of the Guild Ale House.
