The Black-a-Moor Head closed its doors for the final time in October 2024 and following a full refurbishment reopened as the Lancaster Gate on 6th December 2024. There is a smart new interior and a great range of drinks, but sadly no cask ale. Live sports on the TVs every day is a draw and traditional games such as darts are also popular.
