Pub closed and boarded up late February 2017. The property was sold in 2018 and planning permission granted for conversion to residential use with no prospect of a return to a pub. Originally a largely open plan pub with an unusual layout. The pool area and snug were to the left of the entrance with the bar to the right. The stairs to the upstairs function room lead from the middle of the bar area. The occasional guest beer was served from one of the larger independents.
