The Blue Anchor is very strongly food-led with advertising focusing on the 'all you can eat' buffet and also a carvery on a Saturday and Sunday. The layout is open plan around a central bar with a food servery providing a wide range of hot dishes in the buffet to one side. Two changing cask ales are available. Drinkers are welcome, but finding a seat other than stools at the bar may be difficult during busy food periods. There is a large and attractive garden to the rear.
