Back in the 1960s this was a popular music venue called Moonraker's. As the years passed, numerous names have been given to this venue - The Amsterdam Bar, Blue Moon, Pacha's (a fun pub) and the Townend Bar (a Preston North End fans bar). Another change c.2004 saw this become a music based club (Beats of Rage, later changed to Coda) and eventually the building was used as the Frog & Bucket comedy club. *****Blitz is still open as a live Music Venue and nightclub to this day but no longer meets the CAMRA definition of a Pub***** It has proved difficult to establish the correct order for name changes and any additional information would be welcomed by the branch.
