Originally a 17th century coaching inn known as the Red Lion, the name changed to the Anderton Arms around the mid 1860's. However it closed as a pub in 1987 although the building still stands and is now an Italian Restaurant. Photographs courtesy of Chorley Inns & Taverns Blogspot.
