Originally called the Princess Alexandra, this Thwaite's pub was nicknamed Th' 'Ole In'T Wall and had it's name changed to this later. Subsequent name changes saw it as Tap & Spile and Rooneys. The pub finally closed in 2000 and became student accommodation.
