Situated at the corner of Stanley Street and Church Street, this pub was originally known as the Kings Arms. It had a spell as Joplins and then reverted to it's original name. For a short spell prior to closure in 1999 it was known as Crossroads.

Our main photograph shows the pub proudly advertising Chester's Ales. The later colour photograph has the pub in rather unattractive green paintwork in Whitbread days and now called Joplin's.
