This was a short lived pub only opening in 1984 as a development of existing buildings at Ackhurst Farm on the road between Chorley town centre and where Tesco's stands today. The pub was built in an elevated location more or less opposite where Ackhurst Lodge stands at the entrance to Astley Park. At the time of it's closure in 2000 it was owned by Scottish & Newcastle. The pub was demolished and replaced by office buildings. Pictures of this pub are scarce and the only one available to us is from the Chorley Inns & Taverns Blog (used with thanks)
