A former Matthew Brown pub that closed in 2004 and was demolished in 2007. Part of the Cardinal Newman College complex was built on the site.

The main picture shows the pub c.1990 in the typical Matthew Brown red, gold & brown livery of the time. Towards the right of the picture is the modern glass frontage of the public bar.

The second picture shows the public bar more clearly. In this picture the pub is sporting the later predominantly blue colour scheme adopted by Matthew Brown.

The final picture shows the pub closed and boarded up. The public bar extension has already been demolished.
