This former Whitbread pub was situated on the corner of Avenham Lane and Great Avenham Street, directly across from the Palatine Hotel. It was in the 2002 and 2003 GBG's and still serving real ale in 2004, but was closed and boarded up by 2007. The pub appears to have traded under various names down the years. Certainly pictures exist showing Avenham Park Inn, Avenham Tavern, Avenham Inn and Avenham Park Hotel - there were probably other variations also. The main image shows the pub in Whitbread days and carrying the name Avenham Park Hotel. The pub looks well cared for compared with the later picture when the 'Hotel' had been dropped from the name.
