Pub closed as of August 2016 and boarded up; the name board was removed revealing the old signage for Black Boy Inn. Originally known as the Black-a-moor's Head until it's name changed to the Black Boy around 1851. Under this name it appeared in 9 early GBG's - selling beers from Matthew Brown. The pub's name was changed to Moor Inn in the early 21st Century. In early 2017 it was rumoured that it was to be demolished, but after some external work, the pub was once more available to let but this was a last minute reprieve as the building was finally demolished in January 2020 to make way for new development.
