Campaign for Real Ale

Pub of the Season

The branch's Pub of the Season award (POTS) was introduced in 1996. It is an award normally made in association with the branch producing a new issue of Ale Cry.

Since 1996 POTS certificates have been presented to landlords and landladies throughout the branch area in an attempt to provide them with some recognition for their efforts in making real ale available locally.

Over the years the Central Lancashire branch committee have given POTS awards to a wide variety of different pubs. It should be appreciated that recipients of the POTS award may not necessarily be the best or more popular pubs in the branch area, but they will be pubs that are doing something that little bit exceptional in promoting the availability of real ale locally.

There have been 103 POTS awards made and so far there have been 103 different recipients.

Working back, here is a list of all POTS Winners:-
